Butterfield Hall Dorm Reviews at Rhode Island

Butterfield is a wonderful place to reside. I personally love the close proximity to Butterfield Dining Hall, which is the only dining hall to serve breakfast. I appreciate it's distance from my classes. It's very close to the Building's by the quad where all of my classes are held this semester, it's almost on top of the dining hall, and it's a short walk from most dorms, almost as if it's in the middle of the campus (at least the section of campus I find important.)

Not much different from any other dorm I've seen. Clean rooms, decent amount of space, nice common areas, and front door access to the dining hall. I don't even have to go outside to get breakfast in the morning. All around great place to live.

Butterfield Hall was built in the 1970's, and it definitely stayed there. There was no A/C on the third floor, and not much ventilation either. I'm not sure who's to blame for this, but my dorm room was meant to be a double, but someone decided that it could be a triple, but didn't had the third bunk installed until the literal hour of my roommates' and my move-in time. There's also only one gendered bathroom on each floor. Even though there was the benefit of living right above the dining hall, the elevator could have been a bit cleaner.

I was in a triple so it was pretty cramped. There was no women's bathroom on my floor so I had to walk downstairs. The building is very old and the only nice place is the common area. The only upside is that i is connected to one of the dinning halls.
