University of Southern Indiana Dorm Reviews

I was in Governors Hall during my first year at USI during COVID-19. They worked to make us feel safe and to keep everything clean but also tried to make it as fun for us as possible. It is very close to everything on campus, the longest walk I ever had was 10 minutes, but most things took 5. more

It was clean but the staff did not seem to care much about their residents. There were washing machines in the building which were very accessible. The stairwells were usually very loud and messy. Overall it was very pleasant for a freshman year dormitory. more

Newman Hall offered a dorm room stay, which I found to be spacious, clean, quiet, safe, and close to campus. Having a kitchen with refrigerator included was so convenient. The layout allowed for enough room so as not to feel cramped. The beds could be rearrange to suit the occupants. The walls were light and freshly painted. The closet was amble for hanging clothes and allowed for storage as well. This dorm space included a common area to promote socializing and to allow relaxing and making new friends. A bonus of having separate bathrooms with showers, made the stay a pleasant experience. This allowed less wait time to get ready for all living in the dorm as well as cutting down on the cleaning time. Newman Hall is well lit inside and out which promoted a feeling of safety. This residence hall is within easy walking distance to the main campus, which is a positive in of a change in weather or carrying a heavy back pack. A shuttle service is available from the residence hall as well. Newman residence Hall offers all the modern convinces while living on campus while navigating campus life, and I would highly recommend it. more

I lived in the Durbin apartment building on campus for my freshman year. It is located in the back of the housing complex but is conveniently located near the community store and laundry facility. The only thing that I could complain about is how sensitive the fire alarms are. more

I have loved living in Ruston! The dorms at my college are so nice, they are suite style. You have so much room, and only have to share a bathroom with your direct roommate. There's so much space, and even a common area so my roommate and suitemates can all hang out! There's a mini fridge, sink, and the rooms have plenty of space, each person gets their own closet with a lot of room. more

The Residence Halls are very nice and clean. They provided me with perfect living quarters for my time at USI. They come with numerous different appliances and utensils that are also very nice for use. It is overall a great place to stay. more

I had a single room that allowed me to have peace and quiet. The room was able to accommodate a full bed and it was nice. The location was great as it was close to the bus stops and walking to campus. more
