Mountain View Towers Dorm Reviews at USU

It was over all good. The bathrooms were cleaned on a daily basis which was nice. The study room was nice and the room definitely had enough space. I was living in one of the large private rooms. The carpets were kind of weird. But overall it was good.

I had a fantastic roommate, but there were some problems with the building infrastructure that made it cumbersome to live there. For example, I lived on the 5th floor of the building but the elevator was constantly broken so I had to walk up and down five flights of stairs to get to my room. Also, the laundry room consistently had broken machines that would not be fixed for weeks at a time which made it hard for the hundreds of residents to do laundry.

Older building but nothing to complain about, it did the job. Very safe, clean, lots of fun people and events. The construction was the only down side but that has since finished. The new dorm is a lot fancier, both are located very close to a cemetery.

Mountain View Towers staff take safety very seriously as well as the other residents. It is clean and well kept, with everyone doing their part to make it tidy. The elevators are slow so its always a safer bet to take the stairs when in a hurry. The lighting is a little dark, but the rooms have large windows allowing natural light.

Mountain View is a great option for someone looking for the cheapest housing on campus. There are some good things about it- it's right next to the junction and the depot, where students can eat using the meal plan and buy snacks. It is also very close to common areas like the ARC and the library. It is easy walking to any class on campus. However, the walls are thin, the building is dirty and in poor working order. There is no AC and one or both of the elevators are broken almost all the time, with some even getting stuck. This is a good place to live your first year if you want the "dorm experience" but it is far from nice.

Everyone here is very friendly. The bathrooms are practically always clean and i've never had to wait for an open shower.Very quiet, slightly spooky that anyone can walk in before they lock the doors at night and can get anywhere besides residents rooms.

I made friends with a ton of people, and it was a very friendly environment. We all lived so close, and it got to a point where we would just stop by friends apartments unannounced because we all got so close. There were also plenty of resources that were accessible to help you get familiar with the school and help you succeed not only academically, but there were resources for mental health, physical health, learning new skills, and just making friends and having fun. I thought it was a great first place to live at USU as a freshman.

Mountain View is very old. The air conditioning doesn't work in most rooms, so it's very hot in the summer days and nights, and it's very cold in the winter days and nights. Other than that, it's a great place to live the true college experience. It's the only dorm-style housing on campus, so people are practically forced to be close to each other. But that's a great thing because you meet amazing people here. I lived here last year as well and I met a whole group of guys and we've all been great friends since.

I enjoy living here. It's nothing special but it is still a great place to live because of the convince of location and the cheap price. The bathrooms are communal but ours not to big a deal as they get cleaned every day.
