I had only stayed here when I was an incoming freshman but had been moved shortly after. My roommate wasn't the worst but she also was not the best either. I hardly saw her as the semester went on, probably because we both enjoyed our solitude. The common areas were standard, and my RA was sweet.

Jest West was made out to be a relatively loud hall. However, during my time there, it was nice and calm, and the security is very VERY intense, well for the covid situation. HOWEVER, due to cleanliness of the hall, I was quite surprised that more people did not contract the illness

I love Jester with my whole heart. I made a lot of friends here, and I had a great time. When I was deciding what I wanted from a dorm, I chose West Jester because the people and the staff within this building were equipped in helping undergraduates.

Jester West is a great choice for freshmen due to its location, size, and price. Jester is a 1 minute walk to the main library, business school, activity center, and gym. The communications building is about a 10 minute walk and the science buildings about a 5 minute walk. Likewise, the units were recently refurbished and are pretty nice with wood flooring and options for shared or communal bathrooms. Jester is also the home of 2 dinning halls, which is extremely convenient for days where the weather is unpredictable. Jester also has a bunch of study rooms on each floor and a main study room on the first floor with plenty of spots to study in! This is the dorm if you care about your grades and not so much into the party life.

Jester West is a great starter kit for incoming freshman looking to be in the center of all the action at UT. With it being economically friendly and the convenience of having your dinning hall in the building, Jester West is a define for people looking for the whole freshman experience.

My experience at Jester West has been great. It is close to areas I need to go to regularly, and it has a parking garage right across the street. Furthermore, people in their are social and it is a nice type of quiet. I used to dorm in Duren at the beginning of the school year, and then I had to move to Jester. So if I had to choose between both I would choose Jester West. Duren was nice, but Jester is great.

My experience so far has been great! Granted, I have been living there during COVID-19 and it has affected the dorm life of a college student. Besides COVID, the dorm is still a fun and exciting place that welcomes all to enjoy their time at UT. I really love the space that I have and I am glad that I chose to live in Jester West! Hook'em!

The greatest things about Jester West is the location and the people. The dorm is very close to all the main campus buildings. Meaning your classes are super close if theyโre along speedway. Youโre also always bound to bump into a friendly face when there. The downside is that there are always lots of people throughout the dorm at all hours. This means that it can be noisy at all hours, even on the 14th floor. Itโs also good to note that there were several times when the power went out or the water didnโt work. Sometimes weโd have to go a full 24 hours without being able to use our own showers. Weโd have to go to Jester East to use their bathrooms. Overall, Jester West is definitely a part of that college experience that youโll never forget.

The dorm was a great location because it was near the library, gym, and classes. The rooms were very small though, but I had a connecting bath rather than a community bath which was enjoyable. The food was decent as well.

It was a really great way to get acclimated to campus life while being within walking distance of everything. McCombs, the PCL, and the UTC are all a 2 minute walk, and it's easy to make friends in the common area and dining hall.

Vents are all connected, so smells and sounds can pass through. Also, dorms feel very squished and wars are concrete and can feel boring. I wish I could stick up decorations so that it looks nicer. There's also random sounds I hear from the walls. The dorms are actually really cold sometimes too. Otherwise, the location is nice and easily accessible. I wish it was cheaper to dorm.

It was a very nice community overall. It could get a little loud at times. They hosted little events to get to know people living in jester. The shared rooms are a bit small but it makes it feel like you're always having a sleepover

I enjoyed the people I was around and had some of the best memories there. Despite being homesick for a while, the overall experience was once in a lifetime, but in regards to my space and privacy, I would prefer to live alone.

I lived in the Jester dormitories at the University of Texas at Austin during 2015 and 2016. Coming from a military background, the experience was acceptable. I shared a room with one other person and a bathroom with 3 other people. The dorm was generally clean, and had very simple furniture/amenities.
