San Jacinto is a wonderful place to stay at here at UT Austin. Its the best Dorm location on campus when it comes to sporting events and even where the athletes stay. (Game Days suck when they are next to the Stadium while you sleep but other than that Usually Quiet.)

I lived in the South Tower of San Jacinto Residence Hall for my freshman year, and I enjoyed having the private bathroom and the layout of the dorm isn't bad. However, the noise levels in the dorms were not ideal because sometimes, people would play music very loudly at night or in the early hours of the morning, and since the walls were thin, it would sometimes disturb my sleep. Overall, I enjoyed living there, especially since the study rooms were cozy, it was near clark field, and my friends lived there.

In my experience, San Jacinto (known colloquially on campus as San Jac) was sufficient. It can be loud at times but the overall quality of the building makes up for this. Gigabit internet via ethernet is available and the bathrooms are nice.

San Jacinto Hall is an excellent dorm for those who take college seriously; it offers students a safe an quiet place to get work done (with the exception being during football season as it is right by the stadium). It is a beautiful building, and the amenities are decent enough. Most importantly, you don't have to share one bathroom with all your floormates here!

The only thing I did not like about San Jac was the location. It was not in the center of the campus, therefore, it felt very secluded. Although that was a con, in my opinion, it was also a pro. San Jacinto was very quiet and always clean. I definitely felt safe there. The food in Cypress Bend was amazing!

One of the best dorms at UT for introverted people (and for people who don't want to share a communal bathroom)! The only downside is the noise from the stadium whenever there is at home football games. Other than that, the dorm is supremely quiet.

On the whole, San Jacinto was a pleasant place to live. It's a comparatively new, well-maintained building, with a number of useful amenities; along with the typical kitchen and laundry room, its computer lab was incredibly helpful to me, and the store downstairs takes the university meal plan and offers both pre-made or frozen food and food made to order. The proximity to the stadium was a mixed bag. Football game days were always noisier and felt less safe, as the area could get very crowded and sometimes people were loudly drunk; on the other hand, the dorm is very close to facilities housing a number of student recreation groups. Being on the corner of campus also means that San Jacinto is a long way (and an uphill walk) from most classrooms and offices on campus, so be aware that you'll likely need to be either a fast walker or willing to leave a bit early for many classes or meetings.

San Jacinto Hall was incredibly convenient for many reasons. It is located right across from the football stadium, and right next to the bus stop for easy travel. It is far enough from the center of campus to feel like a rest away from the action, but close enough to get to food, gym, class conveniently. Everything felt new and clean, especially the private bathrooms. Everyone who visited my room was in awe by the size and cleanliness. There is even a yummy convenience store/cafรฉ on the ground floor for food and other necessities. It is one of the pricier dorms, but definitely worth it if you are able to.

I moved into San Jacinto Residence Hall during my freshman year of college. With COVID-19 still being a major concern, I am very pleased with the precautions and steps that were taken in order to keep the students and staff safe. Overall, the space my roommate and I had was very nice. It was a good-sized room that came furnished and with our own private bathroom (which was a big relief given the pandemic). Growing up, I never had a room or a bed to call my own, so I was very excited and grateful for the room and bed I was able to have my first year in college.

I personally don't like living in a dorm, but San Jac is the nicest dorm to stay in, each room has its own bathroom, and it's a decent-sized space. Great location, it's right by the stadium and is about a 10-minute walk from the drag.

I am currently a freshman and I am living in a dorm that has a private bathroom. The room is actually more spacious than you may think once everything is organized and as for the private restroom, it is a pretty decent size, but the shower is a little small (no tub, it's a standing shower). My roommate and I love it here because the track is next to our hall and Jester Dining is only about a 3-5 min walk. Also, it's only about a 5 min walk (at least for my roommate and I) to Gregory Gym, McCombs School of Business, and College of Natural Sciences. The staff is friendly and I feel very secure about my safety and health because this campus has taken very proactive steps to maintain sanitation (with Covid and everything). Although sometimes other students can be a little loud, I feel like San Jacinto's walls are pretty thick because I have friends in other residence halls and you can hear every conversation. I hope I have helped with this review and hope you choose San Jacinto!
