O. White Hall Dorm Reviews at UW-La Crosse

I stayed in white hall my first year at UWL-- I met a ton of friends and was always able to make it to class because the location was very convenient. The staff was my classmates and they were very friendly.

In an awkward location on campus, five to ten minute walk from both the dining hall and the rec center. White hall is older compared to other dorms on campus. Few places to get drinking water and amenities were mostly outdated.

My experience living in O.White hall has been pretty good so far. My only concerns would be that there is no common space on the floors so there is no where for people to go an hang out except in the basement or other peoples rooms. My other concern in the placement on campus. It is pretty far from the majority of dorms so walking from someone else's dorm hall at night can be dangerous.

O. White Hall is in good location, you are next to the Student Union, which I personally liked. Additionally, since it is so small I felt very safe in it. But, the bathrooms are old and rarely cleaned. You can also hear everything. For example if you are walking down the hall and the doors are shut you can still hear people's conversations loud and clear. The heaters in your room also are constantly making a lot of noise. It sounds like a clinking noise and it happens all the time, day or night. Plus the hall is very small, there were not that many residents in it. I would recommend picking a different hall. When talking to other residents nobody picked that hall, we all just got switched into it.
