Broad & Belvidere Dorm Reviews at VCU

It's pretty cool. It's next to Rite Aid, and on Broad street, so it's easy to travel downtown or like the art museums. The surrounding is nice too, although it's a little of a walk to monroe park, but yeah

Having roommates and agreeing it’s really hard and some RA are not flexible. Other than that I would recommend living there it is nice that you get your own room and share a bathroom with others. There is just extra cleaning that must be done when you move in.

- Noise The noise isn't too bad throughout the day, everything is pretty peaceful for the most part. My biggest complaint I'd say is the outrageous noise from the trash trucks that come out at 3 AM - 5 AM while everyone's trying to sleep. Also, I wouldn't say this is a problem with the dorm itself, but I was unlucky enough to have rowdy neighbors that live above me who seem to love to cause frequent dramatic commotions. - Cleanliness The cleanliness isn't too bad but everything seems to have a habit of leaking, ESPECIALLY the washing machines. My original dorm had very dirty walls with these blue sticky gummy stuff all over my walls from the previous user of the dorm. Oh, and be on the lookout for the sudden appearance of dying roaches if you will. - Bathroom The bathrooms were probably the best thing about my original dorm until it flooded out from some water problem that happens 2 floors above me. It wasn't that bad but I did have to move everything out of my original dorm into a different temporary room in the middle of mid-terms. - Staff The staff are pretty helpful. - Maintenance The maintenance do a great job with fixing whatever wacky problem occurs, just wish they emailed for when they're about to show up.

Lived on the Gilmore side and had my own bathroom. A little loud at times due to my room being a couple of floors above the main lobby entrance. Therefore can experience some noise issues. There is a parking deck attached to the dorm.

I love Broad and Belvedere. I am in the three room apartment so it is nice and renovated. Maintenance and house keeping have a tendency to be noisy early in the morning. We have our own rooms and bathrooms, so other than that it is great.

I enjoyed having my own room. It was spacious and I got meet a lot of other student. The down side it the cost and the upkeep of the building. My apartment has mold at on point, as well ants. The staff was nice and the location was farther from campus but nears the better restaurants
