Lile was a great spot to be in. The rooms were large, the ceilings were high and it was super close to the gym and a dining hall. The bathrooms were very new and nice, no complaints there. It was also only a 10 minute walk to most of my classes which was nice.

Lile-Maupin has among the largest dorm rooms at the University of Virginia and is a part of the Alderman Road "New Dorms" complex. It is located right next to Observatory Hill (O'Hill) dining hall and is only a short walk away from Newcomb and Runk dining halls. Lile-Maupin is slightly farther away from most classes, but the convenience of O'Hill dining hall and the quality of the dorm itself make up for the hike. Inside Lile-Maupin there are five floors with several study rooms on the first floor and two study/social lounges located at the end of each upper floor's hallways. These upper four floors host students of one gender per floor with each level accessibly by elevator or staircase. The bathrooms are large and well-cleaned by maintenance staff, and the overall appearance inside is comparable to an average hotel.
