The aesthetic of Haggett Hall is essentially concrete chic. The rooms are unusually shaped, beds are built into the walls, and concrete is the main design element. If you can get over that, the location is solid since it is next to McMahon for food options, and on a more convenient side of campus than some of the newer Southwest dorm buildings. I would suggest optimizing friendships to your tower of Haggett, however, as traveling from an upper floor in one tower to an upper floor in the other ends up being quite the hike.

I greatly enjoyed living in Haggett Hall. It's the only dorm I've ever lived in, and I would gladly return if it was still open to residents. I lived on the Global Experiences Living Learning Community floor both years, which allowed me to meet many international students and learn about various cultures. Through Hall Council, events, and common areas, Haggett created a social environment and created a great sense of community throughout the building. My only complaint is that Haggett was not maintained particularly well, and I feel as though the university did not consider its maintenance important at all. Otherwise, I loved everything about living thereβ€”the room design, the location, and the community.
