JM Smith Residence Hall Dorm Reviews at Wingate

JM smith is a fun environment that could use some new life to the place. It’s a little old and not satisfying to look at. It’s very dull, little to no color, the kitchen has no supplies. The room are ok typical dorm room for two.

My experience at JM Smith had its ups and downs. Half of the issues there were due to the students lack of cleanliness while others were due to the school’s negligence. It was better than most freshman spaces though.

I met many people leaving in JM Smith. MY RD was not very good at her job. Overall I enjoyed living in JM Smith. I liked all of the RA in the building they were all very good. I overall enjoyed living in JM Smith.

JM Smith residence hall is very clean and has an uplifting spirit to it, however I wish that the common areas on each floor were open. I feel like the areas should be open because they are open in all the other halls. The common areas are also a great space for students to meet each other, and having access to meeting new students is even more important now.

JM Smith was one of the best dorms on campus for freshman students. The safety could've been better, no one monitored who was coming in and out of the front door; doors were frequently unlocked or held open.

It's my first year at college and it's pretty quiet, clean, safe, and the staff members are great. This put my parents at ease since they are in SC. I am enjoying the way they set things up grouping male sports players together we have bonded, we study together, we eat together. no one is left out.

Is one of the newest dorm locations on campus. Has three levels. Each level has two bathrooms on the different sides of halls and a guest bathroom. The main bathrooms are shared with the floor and have a shared shower. There are also two laundry rooms on each floor and are free. You only have access to the building you leave in and the floor you live on. Each floor has one common area.

JM Smith hall is really nice because the dorm is right by everything within a two minute walk and the rooms are nice the staff is wonderful and the cleanliness is about 85%, so pretty decent. I really love living there.

My experience has been phenomenal. I feel very safe here in the JM Smith Hall. Everyone in the Hall is friendly and out going. The staff are on top of everything and ensure we follow the rules, especially during the world pandemic.
