The dorm is perfect for those who want their own space. Itβs very quiet, the RAs are really nice and easy to develop relationships with, and overall itβs just a very comfortable place to live in. I would definitely recommend it anyone at this school.

This is my first semester at Courtyard and I like it a lot better than the other dormitories. I have lived in three other dormitories on Winthrop's campus (Wofford Hall, Thompson Hall, and Lee Wicker Hall) and they don't compare. Courtyard is only one of two dormitories on campus where you have your own room and only share a bathroom with one other person. It is more expensive but I think it's worth it.

The Courtyard at Winthrop has been one of my favorite life experiences. Having my own bedroom but being able to share common spaces with my friends has been unforgettable. Courtyard has always been one to keep clean and stay on top of things that are broken. For example, this year when I moved in, my blinds in my bedroom were broken. I put a work order in and the next day my blinds were fixed. Every fourth Monday of the month we have an exterminator come in and spray the entire room. I feel very safe when it comes to Courtyard, it has a gated parking lot and requires a keycard to access any door to get into the dorm buildings and parking lot. There are cameras everywhere and overall is a safe environment. Courtyard has been a joy to live in.

My experience was one to remember. It was always a desire to have the off-campus like experience, while still remaining on campus. So I loved the fact that we had to walk across the street and it was away from most buildings as if you were going to a regular apartment location, but it was super close enough to walk and get to your class on time, even if they were all the way across the campus. When I stayed there, freshman were not allowed to stay in these apartment type dorms which made the experience even better. It finally made me feel like an adult, without the real responsibility of paying adult bills!
