Tripp Dorm Reviews at University of Wisconsin

Extremely quiet dorm. If you want somewhere to party, this is not the place, but if you want somewhere quiet and serene to focus on studies, Tripp is perfect. It has all single dorms so you're almost guaranteed not to have a roommate, but that comes at the cost of an almost non existent social scene. I barely knew the people living on my hall, and dorm events never had anyone show up. Overall, I enjoyed it, because I don't like parties or being super social.

Very good experience living in a single room. Excellent location on the lake and lakeshore trail. Very calm and relaxing environment-- good for study. The dorm is mostly introverted, and not much conversation or gathering happens in halls and rooms.

There usually are no noise disturbances, especially during the day. This allows me to study and work on online coursework with little to no distractions. The maintenance staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, they fixed my window screen within a day of my reporting the issue and only took 10-15 minutes to replace it. The building manager is also very helpful and friendly and can be accessed easily and quickly by email.

I've loved staying in Tripp. Since most people are in singles, it gives you a chance to have your own space and somewhere to go for alone time, but still have plenty of people to talk to and hang out with. Definitely for not huge social butterfly-type people, but perfect for people who need a mix of socializing and alone time.
