It fosters a super fun community, the people on my floor and I became good friends. The rooms have wood paneling and built in shelves which give it a more homey feel, making me like it more then the newer dorms which felt too modern like you're living in a hotel. While on paper, dorms like Chu or Kal seem better, I was so much happier in Page. more

Overall these dorms are some of the best Bates has to offer. With the different types of suites offered and the location on campus makes it a top choice for most juniors and seniors on campus. The only downside is for the suites that do not come with their own bathroom, those other rooms are forced to share one shower with multiple rooms of 4 students. more

Nash House

A really close community to live in! Very cozy house feel and the doubles are very well sized. There is not a large amount of insulation between the rooms (most noise comes from the doors) so you can hear your neighbors well. more

Parker Hall

The dorm is for freshman and sophomore students with mainly double rooms. Overall, the building is kept in good manners and the rooms are on the larger side compared to other dorms for freshman and sophomore year at Bates College. more

Kalperis Hall

Kalperis is an incredible dormitory to live in with well-maintained restrooms, multiple common areas, a kitchen, ping-pong tables, an assortment of necessary appliances, and a fireplace to sit around with your friends. more

280 College Street is the perfect dorm for sophomores looking to live between campus and Frye Street. It is quiet, has great common spaces, and has a great location. I loved living in 280 College Street, and most of my friends were able to get spots there too! more

Rand Hall

My experience at Rand has been pretty good overall. I really like that we have our own bathrooms and we have 4 people suites as well. I think the cleaning staff is awesome and they work really hard to keep all the common areas clean. I also like the location of rand as it is not too far from academic buildings, student center and athletic buildings. I do wish that the common areas were a bit nicer because right now it's just a couple of couches and a tv. more

Wentworth Adams Hall

Adams gets a bad rep on campus as one of the worst dorms. I strongly disagree, the dorm is ideally located in the center of campus by commons and all of the academic buildings. Not only that the elevator in the building makes access incredibly easy. Their is a little bit of noise on weekends, but for the most part everyone is pretty good at recognizing public spaces. more

Friendly staff and is very close to campus. Starbucks is located on the ground floor. It is right across the street from campus on the north end. It is loud because it is located right on high street but that means it is close to restaurants and bus routes. more
