Lever Hall Dorm Reviews at Clemson

The rooms are small for two people. There are cheaper interior rooms, but they usually require an extra roommate and are not worth the lack of windows. Each roommate gets a desk with shelving, a bed that can be lofted, a vanity with no sink and a half-sized closet. It is a typical dorm room setup, but your side of the room will only be a few feet from your roommate's side of the room, so, if personal space is a concern for you, you might want to seek accommodations. There isn't much space for cooking or storing food, but you are only a minute's walk away from the closest dining hall. The high rises are close enough to most classes that will be taken for freshman year and the furthest lecture halls would be, at most, a 15-minute walk away. The shared restrooms aren't too bad, but you'd be sharing a few showers, sinks and toilets with a decent amount of people. Maintenance doesn't typically clean the bathrooms more than two times per day. Overall, it's a decent and typical experience for a first-year dorm and isn't really meant to be lived in for more than a couple of semesters. You will definitely appreciate whatever upgrade in housing you'll have afterward.

Lever Hall is a RISE building on Clemson's campus. RISE is the living-learning community for STEM majors. A majority of the residents in this dorm are engineering majors, including myself. Living in this building was very convenient for some of my classes, as Lever and Byrnes both have classrooms on the bottom level. Being able to interact with other students in my major helped my academic experience as we were able to help each other when it came to understanding the material, completing assignments, and studying for exams. I was able to put myself in an environment with other hard-working and motivated students. I would highly recommend living in Lever Hall to those who are majoring in engineering for their freshman year.

My experience was great. I was able to meet a lot of people and build a lot of relationships. It was great being in a dorm that was right next to a dining hall so I could grab food if I was in a hurry.

I met my best friends in Lever Hall and was very happy living there my freshman year. It was an all-girls building, and to be honest, I think that created a happy sense of community. The other students I met were extremely friendly. It also was nice being so close to all of the class buildings. 10/10 would recommend.

Lever hall in is a nice location for getting to classes and dining halls. It features a program to meet similar students in similar engineering/stem fields which is great. It's very safe and diverse, although sharing utilities can be unfortunate for some.

Lever hall has been a great location between classes and dining halls, including many resources for success academically. The staff are very kind, and sharing rooms/bathrooms can be a deterrent but they are cleaned often and the building is very safe.

During my time at Lever Hall last semester, there hasn't been any issues that I have with the area at all. It's very nice and well cleaned with great people that take care of the place. It's not completely quite but it can be most of the time.

It's a great hall for people who want to focus on their academics and are not into the party scene. Being apart of Rise can help you meet people in the dorm who are also STEM majors. It's usually quiet all day which is nice for sleeping and doing work. There is only one lounge in the basement, but it's nice to go hang out in the evenings. The location is a little ways away from Core and the main parts of campus, but only a 5-10 minute walk to the other side of campus. It's a good dorm for someone who wants a quiet place to live on campus and who wants to focus on their academics.
