Mechoopda and Esken Halls Dorm Reviews at Chico State

Mechoopda was a nice quiet dorm to live in for my sophomore year at Chico State! It's slightly more removed from campus, it's on the north side, but that makes for a calm and quiet location ideal for studying and napping during the day. The other dorms in the center of campus are larger and closer to the dining hall and classrooms, but the hustle and bustle of campus makes for a busy living environment. Mechoopda is ideal for athletes as the track and soccer fields are just a few minute walk away!

Mechoopda is just down the street from the main campus of Chico State. While residents do have walk a little to get to the dining hall, the hall is in a quiet area and is easy to study in. It's a two level dorm with a lounge (comes with a bunch of couches, a TV, and a ping-pong table), a study area, a computer/printing room, and a kitchen. Also, you can check out games, vacuums, etc. from the front desk whenever needed. This dorm is a great segue into living independantly.
