It was pretty small but if you organized it right it was a good amount of space, but they are definetly the smallest dorms at UMD. The closets were nice though and the bathrooms were pretty clean and had the biggest showers. I overall enjoyed living in Lake Superior Hall.

Overall, it was fine inside the dorms, it just depends on what neighbors you have next to you. Some were loud, some you couldn't even tell were there. The bathrooms were a bit of a mess, some sinks stopped working and there was a bit of mold on the shower walls.

My experience at Lake Superior Hall was fine, it got me through the year. The building is so beautiful and well-maintained on the outside, but on the inside, not as much. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and they made sure that all of my needs were met. The rooms weren't as spacious and comfortable as others, but the views from the common areas were breathtaking. I really did love the common areas, where I could relax and socialize with other residents. Overall, I had a good time at Lake Superior Hall.

This place is really nice for people who want to live alone or people who have a lot of friends that can meet up (there really is no in between) the room isnβt very big so if youβre OK with decorating smaller spaces this is for you but if you need a bigger space I would recommend a different dorm. It gets noisy every once in a while during the night and it has both genders in each hall so if you donβt mind walking in your robe to your room and seeing an opposite gender then youβre good. Besides that itβs pretty nice and pretty chill for a simple dorm.

There are many good things about Lake Superior Hall, but there are a couple things that could be worked on. The noise in Lake Superior Hall can be very loud and the walls are very thin. If one of your neighbors has friends over there are many times that you can hear everything that they are saying and sometimes it can be very annoying. If you like to cook, like me, it is also very difficult because there is not a kitchen in the building so you have to go to another building if you want to cook something. On the bright side, the laundry room is very nice with a lot of room. The people that live in Lake Superior Hall are also very nice, there are just some minor acritical problems.

Despite only living in Lake Superior Hall for the past 3 months, I have enjoyed my stay here. My hall remains relatively quiet, allowing me to do homework as well as enjoy my evenings peacefully. The study rooms are always very clean and give a gorgeous view of Lake Superior, I recommend visiting early in the morning and watching the sun rise over Duluth. The RA's are very nice and genuinely take an interest in you. Overall, my time in LSH has been very nice.

Pretty great! People who live and work here are very friendly. The bathrooms and common areas are maintained well and never get too dirty. The twisting halls can be a little confusing at first but you get used to it.

Itβs one of the best looking and maintained dorms on campus. From what I heard from other dorm residents itβs also one of the newest. The only knocks I would have against it is the bathrooms can sometimes be messy after some nights. But for the most part people are considering of others. The RAβs are also very cool. A problem Iβve been having is noisy neighbors but this just depends on who you get roomed next to. Itβs college Iβm not going to report them but thatβs a personal choice.

Living in Lake Superior Hall is amazing, the people living on the floor are very nice and inviting. This is a mixed gender dorm which is really nice and many opportunities to meet new people. Rooms are spacious with walk in closets that have lots of storage.

Lake Superior Hall has the best views out of all the dorms. I was on the seventh floor (top floor) in this hall, and could see the fall leaves change colors, the snow starting to fall, and the lake freeze over all from my dorm room window. The study rooms are great places to get some work done, but the main common area that is on the main floor is actually more of an entrance to all of the dorms, as the tunnels underground connect all of campus. So that was not as quiet of an area to relax in. The laundry section was always clean and ready for use, and they were free to use as well. No coin operated laundry machines! The health center is also right next to Lake Superior Hall, which is fantastic if you need a quick check up. The elevators within the hall are also great, and large enough for the moving carts in which you get all of your stuff to the dorm room. Overall, I enjoyed my experience there, and would tell anyone else that this dorm hall was a great place to live!

Itβs weird itβs often quite during the day and at night people get rattled up and start making noise. It could just be the specific neighbors we have. On a good note, there are multiple bathrooms throughout the floor so theyβll always never be full.

Overall my first semester in this hall has been a good one, other than the fact that sometimes on the weekends it can be a little nosier than usual, which is normal for a weekend. The room is tiny but thatβs a given since it is a college dorm, I really like the fact that itβs one of the halls thatβs more central to everything on campus.

The views from you LSH room can be different. Currently I have a decent view of outside where we can see the trees change colors. The people here are great and you are close to the recreational room for ping pong and other games!

I'M A FRESHMAN THIS YEAR, BUT IT IS A GREAT STARTER DORM! MY RA IS VERY INVITING AND WELCOMING. THE ELEVATORS ARE USUALLY WORKING, BUT THE STAIRS ARE NOT TOO BAD EITHER. MY ROOMMATE AND I BUNKED OUR BEDS AND IT GAVE US A LOT MORE SPACE. IT IS THE PERFECT SIZE FOR THE BOTH OF US.

LSH is a pretty average dorm hall. The hallways are kind of narrow, but the rooms come with a bed, chair, desk, closet, dresser, and enough space to store a decent amount of stuff. The walls are also relatively soundproof, but there isn't a lot of ventilation in the rooms so you'll be keeping your window open most of the time.
