Oswald Dorm Reviews at University of Kansas

When i went it was a little newer and closer to the hotel on campus. Not sure how it is today, but i hated how far parking was. Not that many food options and wasn’t near the cafe. Still, it was good enough to be close to mass street for all the good times i went after a KU win.

My experience at oswald was a short one, I was only there one semester but it was really fun the layout was very good and the rooms were clean and updated. It wasn't that noisy, but could be at times. The RA's were helpful and understanding and access to campus was great.

The building is new and therefore very nice. The common areas are cleaned often which is a plus. the rooms are big with windows and tall ceilings. the staff is the only negative part of living in Oswald. They are disorganized when it comes to the mail and if your package is lost no one is held accountable. Personally, I like to receive the package I order.

Overall I was happy with my experience in Oswald. It was almost always clean, everyone had their own bathrooms (no communal), and the safety is pretty good. One of the only negatives is the maintenance - on my floor the none of the dryers worked, and Oswald never fixed for the entire school year, so everyone went to another floor to do their laundry. As for the location, yeah it's kind of a long walk from the main buildings of campus, but all of the dorms at KU are equally as far.
