Blanche Ward Hall Dorm Reviews at McDaniel

I lived on the fourth floor in Blanche. I will say that traveling floor flights was worth it for the peace and quiet I received on my floor. I do wish there was an elevator. Our bathrooms were cleaned and supplied with materials daily. The common rooms were dirty sometimes, but it depends on who lived on the floor. The cleaning staff could be a bit nicer when I run into them. There are two bathrooms on each floor. Although this dorm is co-ed, I hardly run into problems with sharing a building with men. The dorms are so safe, I have no reason to lock my door. People have to be more careful on the ground levels, however. I would live there again. The only downside is not having a kitchen, and the bathrooms are communal.

Blanche was amazing! I met so many great friends in my hallway and the common areas were amazing for studying. The bathrooms were great and I had an amazing RA. It was always so clean and quiet. I would suggest Blanche to anyone looking for a great dorm to live in.

Overall good experiences, never had any real issues. There is also air conditioning! The walk from the field and gym is a little fair so not very convenient for an athlete but I did it and it was not too bad!
