Whiteford Hall Dorm Reviews at McDaniel

My experience is that many people tend to occupy the common spaces in Whiteford which leads to much trash being left on the ground. As for the noise, the hallways can be loud during the day but are somewhat peaceful at night.

It has been an amazing experience so far and the building is in the perfect location that is close to the dining hall and other parts of the school. Also, even though Whiteford Hall does not have any air conditioning the rooms have enough sockets for anyone to bring in an extra fan.

I stayed in a single room on the 4th floor. Over all it was a normal dorm experience, my floor was usually pretty quiet, however the bathroom was not always the best but that’s college I guess so no big complaints. Although beware that Whiteford has no air conditioning so it is quite hot during the warmer periods of the year but it’s manageable if you have fans. The elevator is also a kind of weird so I recommend taking the stairs if you’re okay with walking.

Whiteford was one of the best dorms that I stayed in during my time at McDaniel! the bathrooms where clean, students weren't to noisy, the RA's made game nights and get together once a month for us to destress from our case loads.
