Mason Hall Dorm Reviews at MSU

I would say Mason Hall is a really good place to live your freshman year of college. It's right by a main road with lots of shops and restaurants, which makes it really convenient whenever you need something from a store or want to go out to eat. The neighborhood is full of beautiful scenery, and great places to walk and sit down with friends to relax. The dorm building itself is a little older compared to the other halls on campus, however all maintenance is up to date and everything is kept clean. The dorm rooms are a good medium size, however all dorms in this building only have communal bathrooms. Overall the location is great and the building itself is perfectly fine.

The bathrooms can be dirty at times, but the maintenance crew does a good job of cleaning up. The residents this year in Mason hall are pretty calm and friendly leaving lots of opportunities to make friends!

Mason Hall is quite nice but there are certain thing about that makes it interesting. If living on the basements level have to worry about little animals/bugs. Is communal so sometimes are issues with other cleanliness. But over all not bad. Very old building so there are certain things that are in need of replacement but is well kept.

Quiet. Had my own room. Even with the shared bathroom it was always clean. No elevator sucked when living on the top floor. I lived there before the remodel in the 2000's. Cafeteria sucked compared to all the others on campus.
