Williams Hall Dorm Reviews at MSU

Avery beautiful common areas and very nice location but the windows let in bugs when it’s warm and the bathrooms are advertised as cleaned daily but they’re cleaned maybe once a week. This is troubling because people are disgusting. There’s always something gross in the bathroom and it always reeks of ammonia and weed.

Williams is in a great location, right by Grand River but just far enough to where the view isn't simply the street. It's on the far end of the West Circle in North neighborhood and a short walk from Landon's dining hall and the Union.

It’s not a bad dorm but it depends on the people that’s there with you like some people are nasty and kept the bathrooms disgusting and I am not a fan of sharing bathrooms with the whole hall but it’s not that bad

It’s a nice place to stay, the rooms are a nice size and the people around are genuine and very helpful. The janitor is very nice and Friendly so are the RA’s on each floor. The hall director is really sweet and caring and is always trying to help people when they need it as well.

Living at Williams is very convenient since it is very close to all the academic buildings on campus and there's a dining hall and a food court on the first floor of the building. Unlike the other dormitories, each floor of Williams is co-ed with one side of the hall is split between genders which makes dorm life an exciting experience for all types of people. I have personally found the RAs here extremely friendly and they are very thoughtful when it comes to planning floor activities, so every week is never dull. The dorms themselves are very spacious, since the beds are lofted, and can fit furniture such as a futon, minifridge, and a tv.

Williams is a dorm mostly for underclassman, with the exception of the Honors Housing Floors. The cafeteria is very convenient on the first floor, but it's disappointing that it's open for only weekday lunch and dinner.

My experience is going pretty good for a freshman in college, however obviously COVID-19 has affected my experience because I don’t get to do the activities we normally would but the environment is pretty mellow and nice for the most part.

Williams was very homey to all the boys living there. It wasn’t the cleanest, it was mostly dirty everyday. We had to share 6 stalls and 6 showers on each floor. Showers didn’t get cleaned regularly so you had to have designated shower shoes so your feet wouldn’t get any bacteria from someone else.

My experience living In Williams hall was quite frustrating. Specifically the black mold inside of the ac vent. It would consistently be very stuffy and dry in the room and I had to always buy an air filter as well as place an air purifier in the room as well. Williams is the second crappiest hall on campus. Oak and the village apartments have better accommodations that make living there bareable.

William has larger closest than the other freshman dorm Parrott, but the bathroom are much worse. The showers are not impressive and the lighting is poor. The bathrooms are also not large. Williams is carpeted also if you prefer that and has a larger lobby.
