All of the Halls at the NYIT Long Island campus are pretty similar. There wasnβt a big sense of community in Roosevelt hall, a lot of the time walking through you might believe the building is vacant. The rooms are functional but not great. The beds arenβt the most comfortable and the rooms arenβt appealing in pictures. Itβs usually pretty hot, either because of no air conditioning in the summer or because the beds are right next to the heaters that get turned on even when itβs still warm out, and you canβt turn them off. The upsides are the option to live in a single dorm which is rare for schools, the safety (plenty of call boxes and our dorms are right across from the university police), and the bathrooms are only shared between 4-6 people rather than a whole floor.
