Shulze Hall Dorm Reviews at Penn State

This dorm is a great location, so far it is mostly quiet and calm. The dorm lay out itself is basic, only a little confusing when first adjusting. The dorms themselves are quite small but decent in quality. Nothing extremely extravagant but they serve their purpose and provide for a great amount of storage for anything you would need. The dorms also come with one microwave and mini fridge-freezer duo. It is very convenient to have for nay snacks or drinks you may want to keep. The other nice thing about the dorm is there is a decent amount of closet space and built in shelving and shoe storage. Overall the only annoying aspect about design would be the wall built in shelves as they limit ones creativity in room arrangement and decoration. The only major inconvenience of the Pollock dorms in general would be their lack of air conditioning. This only poses an issue for the first few weeks but it does make it absolutely necessary to buy at least one fan for the comfort of both yourself and you roommate. It is also not a bad idea to invest in a dehumidifier until the weather cools to keep your room from feeling too sticky or hot.

I have had nothing but good experiences here. It is so close to downtown and has one of the best commons food wise. Also when it’s warm the roof deck is unbeatable it’s super quiet and always had fun in here with my friends

Very quiet building with not much going on. A good place if you want to focus on school and study... not a good place if you want to make friends and go out. The building is close to the HUB and most classes. Also closer to downtown than most dorms
