Queens University of Charlotte Dorm Reviews

The dorms at Albright were normal in size for a freshmen dorm. It was nice to be able to manage out own air condition system, as well as have the small refrigerator and microwave provided in each dorm room. The upkeep and cleanliness of the lobby, stairwells, and bathrooms were neglected and dirty. I had more allergy issues living here than anywhere else I've lived. I have to think there was black mold in this facility as well, since that is what I am most allergic to. I would not reccomend future freshman to this dorm facility. more

Being in Wireman made my college experience very exciting. This is where I met my best friends and we were in an environment that had great places to study, it was clean, quiet, and in a great location. I wouldn't have wanted to live anywhere else on campus. Plus, the TV in the main lounge was great for movie nights and for watching sports. more

In the fall semester HBO dorm hall was on the better side, we always had hot water and our bathrooms were cleaned weekly. The laundry room flooded some, but it was often fixed. During this time the AC did not work and continued to not work for most of fall and all of spring semester. When spring semester approached the water was often cold and sometimes brown in color causing me to walk across campus to shower in the gym. The laundry room flooded constantly and there was often a horrible smell that would be lingering for weeks at a time. The bathrooms would go months without being cleaned and the showers began flooding the whole bathroom which leaked out into the hallway. There was also no elevator in this three story building so living on the third floor was not fun especially on move in and move out days or just regular grocery shopping. My roommate and I also started finding it hard to breath when doing simple tasks and found out the reason why was because of mold growing in our ceilings and walls. The bright side of this dorm hall was that it was in the middle of campus so it had a great view, the rooms and closet space were a nice size, and in the common area there was a pool table and fusbol table that allowed me to redirect my mind on other things at the time. more

My experience here at Barnhardt Hall has been one of the best. In my senior year of high school, I attended at private boarding school and when I compare the housing there to where I am now; Barnhardt Hall is the best. The people here are very respectful of peace and other people's lives. I feel as though people here are also very friendly with each other which makes me happy. The bathrooms are very nice and I enjoy the privacy that you can have with each bathroom. The dorm itself is very clean and I notice people who live here, clean up after themselves. more
