My experience at Trinkle Hall my freshman year of college wasn't horrible, but it's definitively not a place that I plan to live again. The dorm itself was a good size, but the stained walls and crumbling ceiling was extremely noticeable and remained unfixed throughout my time there. It's a safe dorm, as long as you lock your door and keep a general sense of your surroundings. The RA of my floor was borderline useless against any unwelcome noise or company. She regularly held parties in her room each week and was not at all good at her job. more

Moffet Hall

Overall I would recommend Moffet Hall to anyone after their freshman year. Moffet is an excellent dorm to meet other people and become connected with others not only the same year as them. Moffet Hall is a little far away from some parts of campus dining but not bad for classes. more

Floyd Hall

I'm a junior now, and I lived in Floyd my freshman year, and regardless of the conditions of the hall, it was the best year of my life. I met some of the closest friends I could ever have in that hall, and ir gave me the opportunity to create memories that I would never ever forget. No the year wasn't perfect, but I look back on my experience in Floyd with joy. more

Bolling Hall

My experience at Bolling Hall was a good one. It was quiet for a good portion of the day but would get louder toward the end of the day because of the residents. Though in every other aspect the resident hall was amazing. The kitchen was great to cook and convenient because there was one on every floor. more

Muse Hall

It can be very hot in the summer sometimes. Sometimes on the top floor desks won't stay shut because the building is leaning. Boys run around through the hallways a lot and it can get quite loud. I will say that got better after they installed cameras. That helped with people randomly pulling the fire alarms as well. more

When I first moved in I didn't expect my room to be as dirty as it was, basically most of my move-in time was taken up by deep cleaning the whole room. There were maintenance request that I submitted (several times) that took weeks to get fixed. The space in the dorms are pretty small but still manageable. The common areas are great if you need to get out of the dorm for a little bit but they could definitely use some cleaning here and there. The kitchen area for the building is pretty dirty so I would say bring some wipes to wipe it down before you use it but besides that it works great to make any meals you have in mind. The laundry room is small, the washers are actually a lot smaller than the dryers. The location is on the edge of campus and personally is far for me to get to my classes that are on the other side of campus but the walk is actually relaxing and having the lawn right in front of our building looks really nice. Overall this dorm is comfortable enough to call home for now. more

Jefferson Hall

Overall my experience at Jefferson Hall was good. I ended up having some issues with my roommate but once she moved out I had my own room for the latter half of the first semester and the entirety of the second. The location is close to the on-campus shops as well as restaurants within walking distance. I met some cool people on my floor and I recommended it to my friends in case I couldn't get in again and I'm sure they'll have a positive experience like mine. more

Hello, I loved westwind apartments and the people that lived there to. My neighbors were very friendly and they would never make to much noise, I couldn't ask for any more neighbors. I had trouble with the guest parking, we were not required to register our car for a minute and suddenly our friend car got towed. We called down to the office to ask why this happened and they told us they sent an email saying we were requiring to register now, they then told us that it was a mistake and for some strange reason they didn't send us the email because something was wrong with their system. Although this happened I still love westwind apartments, very lovely and nice apartments. more

The experience was okay. I would recommend staying on the campus and getting involved in activities there. As a first year student, I did not get out a lot or go to the dining hall so it was not the easiest of a transition for me. So, get involved in the clubs and campus activities. more
