Location is the best in all of the Hive, close to the food. As an athlete, this is important. Also close to getting mail, or walking over to Turner House or getting to the buses. RA has been fine, haven't needed him that much, other than a few noise complaints. Safety is fine too, no matter where you are in the Hive. I don't use the common area that much, but it might just be because I am to busy.

The Aviary has always been a great dorm in the Hive, and in general it's a very good experience. It's pretty close to anywhere you'd need to go, and the bus stop is really nearby. It feels safe, it's not too crazy, and it's just an enjoyable experience.

At first I was skeptical about it but I absolutely love my stay at the hive. Thereβs elevators that make it very convenient to go up and down your dorm. It is so spacious and it feels like a small apartment.

There are some students who haven't learned volume control yet, but overall, the Apiary building is a nice dorm to live in. It is one of the closest Hive buildings to the cafeteria, and the location is close to River Street. There are security guards present on campus, and in addition, the Hive dorms have their own parking deck, making it very safe.

Apiary at The Hive was a great dorm because the suites had two bedrooms, a common area, and a bathroom. The toilet and shower were in separate rooms which allowed for privacy. The common areas were clean.

There were great RA and great people who lived on my floor. There weren't that many parties, and it was usually quiet overall; all the noise came from the floor above me. While the rooms were small and the common room generic, the bathroom was separated into a toilet stall and shower stallβall four people sharing that bathroom.

The Hive is a really great place for freshmen to be surrounded by others and find their community. It has several identical buildings of dorms, a dining hall, a workout place, a big parking garage, a pool, and fun outdoor hang areas. Move in was handled smoothly where we parked under the building to unload and then moved the car to the parking garage. The suites are better than any of the other universities we toured (there were many!). There is a common living room, sink/fridge/microwave/storage, bath sink with 4 big drawers to hold toiletries, room with shower, huge room with toilet so tons of storage available there, and then 2 people in each of the 2 bedrooms. They give you beds, armoires, nightstands, desks, chairs, couch, tv stand, coffee table and some stools to move around however you like. Definitely a good size space and a wonderful home until COVID kicked us out.
