Forty Dorm Reviews at SCAD

my experience at forty was really nice. They had lots of events. the staff was really nice. There was a really nice view from my room. The location was really nice. The forty building is right by all the store, which was convenient.

Living in Forty was convenient in terms of getting to the main building for classes. The safety was never really a concern for me because there was security at each entrance. We Never really had any maintenance problems outside of the power going out due to weather or something that happened outside in the city.

Forty is located right in the middle of the campus and very central in the city as well. The rooms are spacious and very well organized and spaced out. There are so many resources for us students in the building. We have access to a gym, common eating areas, a mini convenience store, a pool, and a computer lab all in one place. I also really appreciate the security aspect the school has implemented. There are multiple security checks in which a key card is needed and additionally offers shuttle services at night for students who needed to stay back and study. All of these features have made the campus experience much better and I am proud to be a student at SCAD.

Forty is a very modern dorm. My only complain is that we don't get a full kitchen, which basically forces students into buying the meal plan. I recommend living off campus if you can. It will save you a lot of money.

Very nice to live in, but you have to clean frequently or else the dirt in the air will slowly start to accumulate. Overall, I just wish the closet space was slightly bigger and that the kitchen space would be better to cook.

My experience here has been wonderful. It kind of feels like a long-stay hotel. We have keycard access to the facilities and rooms, each hallway is protected by a locked door, each room also has a locked door and there is a key to get into the pods. I feel extremely safe here, the staff is very friendly, and I love my dorm. The only thing I really don't like is the location. It is in the middle of a very business-oriented sector of the city and as a college student, I would like to have more restaurant and entertainment options close to the dorm rather than banks and city offices.
