Rudder Hall Dorm Reviews at Texas A&M

I have lived in Rudder for a little over a year now and I can honestly say I have fallen in love with the hall. It's quiet most of the time and the RA's are amazing. I recommend this hall to so many people because of how clean and welcoming the residents are. Everyone works hard to get to know each other but also respects each other by being courteous and understanding. The building is also made very well, I love that there is a kitchen for everyone to use, as well as a TV lounge. It gives us a place to get to know people in the hall and to relax with our friends. Rudder will always be my favorite hall and I would gladly stay here for the rest of my undergrad years.

Because it was an all-girls dorm, I felt genuinely safe and it was situated really close to the dining hall and my classes that were on the Southside. As well as being really close to the Southside gym, across the street, and near a bus stop. However, the cleaning staff wasn't always on time, and issues with some pests didn't take away the fact that it was quickly resolved. The staff was also the best, and the rooms were terrific.

I didnt have a roommate but the rooms are very spacious, i think they are the biggest on campus. There were a lot of activities the staff did to help everyone meet people and it is close to the middle of campus so it is easier to walk places

This is my second year living here. I love the location on campus, as well as the cleanliness and affordability of the dorm. If there are any issues, maintenance is quick to fix them. Our bathrooms are cleaned once a week and they are private to the room. We just got a kitchen added to the first floor.

This is a great building. Staff are incredibly nice and friendly, trash is taken out every morning, and cleaning staff cleans your bathrooms, but you could always opt out. Rooms are spacious and have their own bathrooms and air conditioning. The only slight downside is hearing your neighbors' doors close and lock/unlock, but overall a 9.8/10. There's a lot of kind girls who live here, so I definitely recommend this if you want to move in to a nice, comfortable, and good environment as a freshman.

I lived on the fourth floor, and though the trek up the stairs could be a little rude after walking all the way across campus to get back, the rooms were decent and you have your own bathrooms in each dorm. Overall 4/5.

It was great! I loved that it was an all-girl dorm and my Resident Advisor was so helpful. It was always clean and my roommate had our own bathroom. The laundry room and common areas were always clean and in great condition. It also was a great community feel.
