Sneed Hall Dorm Reviews at Texas Tech

It often feels like the least renovated hall on campus. The bathrooms are often crowded, The halls are often noisy with a lot of sound bleeding out of and between rooms, and a water leak once cause a ceiling tile to warp, fall, and nearly hit me in the head. I did not enjoy my time here.

Sneed Hall was built in 1938 and is therefore one of the oldest buildings on campus. That being said, there are many renovations completed that make it more modern, then best being the common areas. I stayed in Sneed during the renovations of it's restrooms and was on a floor with no renovations and it was very gross due to age and mistreatment of students. Now, those renovations are complete and are actually very nice. The rooms are like any other 2 person dorms on campus including control of AC temperature in your room.
