Dundee Dorm Reviews at UC Riverside

Living at Dundee was the best decision I've made in my college career. Besides the perfect maintenance and the high-tech state of the building, the study lounges and common areas provided a great opportunity to both study and socialize with people.

Living in dundee feels like I’m living in a hotel, very clean and active depending what floor u live in. The location is great since it’s near the ND market and glasgow (dinning hall). And it’s close to the campus (less than 10 min walk)

Dundee is very modern. It is considered the best dorm on campus, and is a good living experience with a gym, pool table, and laundry provided. Very beautiful. I would recommend dundee to anyone going to UC Riverside.

I actually had to move out of the neighboring dorm, Aberdeen-Inverness, because of a health issue. I felt super comfortable at Dundee. Everything was very clean and the walls were pretty thick, even if there was hallway noise you could barely hear it from the rooms. Also, the amenities were the best on campus. A freshman dorm having their own private gym, and high-end study lounges on every floor accompanied by flat screen TV's is every college student's dream.

I stayed at Dundee my first year at UCR, and it being one of the newest and nicest dorms, it was okay. A lot of big pluses from the other dorms on campus such as your own adjustable room temperature A/C in each room. Huge lounge areas with up to date tv and modern accommodations as well as nice maintained showers as well as huge terraces on both buildings, Dundee A and Dundee B. First floor has laundry dryer and washer as well as right next door had a room to watch movies with friends and private music rooms where anyone can use. Private bike storage for people to keep their bike, multiple pool tables and ping pongs as well as fire places and grills to be users by anyone. Only main issue with Dundee as students living in Dundee constantly set the fire alarm go off as well as some wifi outages throughout the school year. Besides all that, overall Dundee is one of the best dorms to live on UCR, but with it being the newest at nicest, it is one of the most expensive ones.

I stayed at Dundee during the Covid-19 quarantine, so my experience was less social than I would have hoped. However, I did enjoy staying there and would be interested in staying there again in the future.

I have seen pictures online and have heard that Dundee is extremely clean and modern and everyone loves it. The area is very quiet so it’s a great place to study and get work done in general. There is also a cafeteria there.
