I would say my overall experience at ucsd in brennan hall, is that is was very clean, and i love the space, the only thing i didnt like was the location and how warren is really isolated and not close to any other colleges. the food is good there as well which another plus.

Needless to say living here in Brennan Hall tends to embody the typical βcollege apartment experienceβ. You happen to share a living space with roommates who you are fond of, while forming new friendships, attending social events, studying together, and navigating the challenges of living independently. Dorm life often includes late-night conversations, group outings, and various campus activities, creating a memorable and transformative part of the college journey.

Brennan Hall has the outward appearance of a decent motel. Outside is all cement and it isn't until you enter an apartment that you have something to comment on. Since its like an apartment, its looks depends on how students treat it. Nothing too spectacular, but nothing horrible either.

Honestly, I never lived in the on-campus dorms. I lived in the on-campus apartments, which were much nicer in my opinion. Although the residential areas aren't as nice as some in The Village or ERC, they're nice enough. I often visited friends in the dorms and I'm not sure how they made it through without a kitchen and having to share a bathroom with so many people. I preferred the apartments much more. I lived in Douglas Hall and Brennan Hall and there wasn't a large difference between the two. They were almost identical. The only annoying thing was the fire alarm system at Douglas Hall, but I think I was just unlucky because that year it was extremely faulty. I think they fixed it now. A lot of residents were upset because it would go off every other week. It got to the point where I was a bit anxious falling asleep because I was worried I would be woken up by the fire alarm at 1 or 2 am again. 100% recommend apartments over the dorms because they're nicer and you don't have to share the space as much. Plus, you get a decently sized kitchen. They have custodians that come in to clean the common areas every week so you don't have to worry too much about cleaning when you're living on-campus. Unless you're an engineering major, warren is pretty far from everything though. The staff is nice if you get the chance to chat with them. Get to know your RA! They are super friendly and they made my first year honestly
