James Smith Hall Dorm Reviews at Delaware

All staff is extremely nice and we have events (sips) all the time! Highly enjoyable here if you're frequently involved. Only issue is how far it is from central campus; bus is always available during the weekdays, but the weekends you have to basically walk everywhere.

James Smith is one of the best freshman dorms at UD. It is pretty far away from main campus (15-20 mins) but it is worth it to only have to share a bathroom with 3 other people. The dorms are a nice size and there is AC and heat. There is a bus stop so if you don't want to walk all the way to class you can just hop on that. I would rate my overall experience a 4/5.

It is an awesome and super well taken care of building! The rooms are all very spacious and the personal bathrooms are also a wonderful touch. The only downside is that it is a 10-15 minute walk to get to Main Street or classes.

Best dorm experience I could ever ask for! People were vey friendly and kind. I made all my college friends from living in the dorms. Relationships that will last forever. The study areas are very nice to use and socialize in.

everyone is super community-oriented and you really know that you have people to go to if you ever need to. The Ra's are there and they do their job but they aren't overly pushy or disrespectful to privacy and personal space.

My experience has been great, but I know it is much different from those you have lived here in the past. I love my room and the suite style dorms because I allows fo you to have a roommate while also giving you your own space.

James Smith hall is fairly nice, the neighborhood is alright. They're good people. Nice places and enough to go round. But usually not clean. Hopefully i believe it will work out, the common areas too need to get worked on.

Short stay due to COVID, but it was alright. Constant noisy people coming back from parties. Make sure you communicate with your suitmates about cleaning the bathroom because it got pretty annoying when I was staying there.
