Donovan Hall Dorm Reviews at UK

I loved living on campus in Donovan as a college freshman. I believe everyone should as it helps you adapt to being a new adult. I made some great friends in that building and it was a short walk to anywhere I needed to go on campus. The building was safe and secure and honestly has a place in my heart.

Donovan wasn't terrible but it wasn't exactly what I was expecting my experience at a college dorm would be like. It always smelled like weed and was on the end of campus so almost nothing happened there. It felt more like a prison then a dorm room.

Modern and spacious rooms. I was in a suite. The only problem is that the walls are thin and if there is noise in the common area it can be easier heard. Generally Donovan is considered the more desirable of the dorms. Additionally, they are super strict at St John’s when it comes to guests staying over.

I stayed at Donovan Hall during my Freshman year and I enjoyed the new building and amenities. The room was spacious, and there was ample storage, a comfortable Seeley Posturepedic bed, and marble countertops in the bath area. It was a great location next to the library and centrally located on campus.
