Lassonde Studios Dorm Reviews at University of Utah

Everything is absolutely fantastic other than the fact that my ac does not work and it is over ninety degrees outside. I have sent in a request for it to be fixed. But it is the best place to live on campus due to its proximity to classes and important buildings. Less so if your major is pre med. But there is food in the building. The shower also leaks but that doesn't.

I lived in Lassonde during my sophomore year of undergraduate (Fall 2017-Spring 2018). I was a resident of the 2-floor "pods" community for the duration of my stay. I loved having my own room and found the other residents respectful of my space. As a sophomore, I found that being involved with fellow residents was not as easy as it had been freshman year, but the proximity to the campus library made it easy to meet up with my friends and study regardless of where they lived.

It was a beautiful and modern home away from home. However the people that lived next to me and the crowded the common areas are more of what made my experience dismal. The bathrooms could have been more accessible but other than that the building itself was in great condition.

Living at Lassonde was probably the best choice I made in terms of dorms. It is definitely more expensive than other sites but you get your money's worth and more. The staff are super helpful, the common areas are AMAZING and such a great place to hang out with friends, and it's very convenient having a cafe downstairs.

The common areas within each group was a great way to meet new people along with make friends with the other students that live in the cluster. Along with this, it was extremely beneficial to have a cafe in the main area of the building which encouraged healthy eating habits along with providing food for a wide variety of diets.

Lassonde is the perfect place to stay for the entrepreneurial at heart. They have excellent amenities and help you get your business up and running! Plus, the people and culture there are awesome! There is definitely a place for everyone at Lassonde!

As a business student who has all of her classes in central campus, it's nice being able to live in a dorm that is also located in central campus. It makes going to and from class really easy, as opposed to going to the top of campus where most of the dorms are. Lassonde offers different dorm options, but they all offer a sense of community whether you're in the clusters or not. Every floor has a different theme, so it's easy to find a spot for you and what you're interested in. This also makes it easy to make friends because most of the people on your floor have similar interests since they chose the same theme as you. Lassonde is also a great spot for a quick bite on the main floor along with studying or utilizing the makerspace. It's a fun place to hang out and meet new people along with interacting with the student businesses that have their offices in the lobby. Overall, I think that Lassonde is a great dorm building to live in for those who are looking for a community-centered experience along with the convenience of being in the center of campus. The only major con that I can think of is the cost which is much more expensive than the other dorms buildings on campus, but it could be just be a sacrifice for the resources provided and convenience.
