West Campus Housing

West Campus is the newest addition to the UTC campus, so the quality of the housing is very high. The only issue is the occasional loud neighbor running through the hall. The rooms are clean, and the common areas have great television sets for group gatherings. more

My experience here is great! We have 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with a washer and dryer in unit, and a full kitchen/living room! The staff is nice. Maintenance is on a first come first serve basis, but they come in a timely manner! more

Neighbors can be loud. Had a couple of maintenance issues during week 1. Love the balcony. Love the space. I’ve grown to love the couch. Laundry can be a nightmare. I am fond of the shower head and bath tub. I appreciate how big it is. Love my roommates. more

My dorm experience for the first time was nothing but exceptional. The building had an apartment style to it. It included four bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Every once in a while there was an elevator down, but it was usually fixed fairly quickly. more

Johnson Obear Apartments

JO was an alright place to live. Could've been better, could've been worse. I wish an elevator was accessible to my room for connivence when loading groceries and such. The parking surrounding it was more expensive than others, so that meant extra walking/looking for parking. I missed having a dishwasher, and not having to walk so far to do my laundry (which is subjective to specifically which room you're assigned). The bathroom counter/sinks are separate from the toilet/shower, which I think helps when living with potentially 3 other girls. I enjoyed having a balcony, and being closer to campus than previous years. JO is one of the oldest dorms still being used, so don't expect anything fancy, but it's suitable for a college student. more

Foundation Apartments

This was my first dorm experience and it was great, except I had to vacate in March for COVID-19. We had four girls, four bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen, living room, washer and dryer in the unit. It was a great apartment, just steps from my parking spot and from buildings where my classes were held. The staff were responsive to requests, friendly, and helpful. I enjoyed my view of the courtyard and my privacy in my room. I had a car and it was easy to get to other areas of Chattanooga within minutes. My room was a good size, so much larger than many other dorm rooms I've seen. more

I have had a great experience living in UCF. Having my own private room and a kitchen has made living in a dorm feel more like a home. The location is ideal for any student, making it an easy and close walk to class. It is always nice and quiet and I have never felt unsafe. more
