Judaculla Residence Hall Dorm Reviews at Western Carolina

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. It is quite a distance from the center of campus, so having the quietness of being able to study in the room is very convenient. Maintenance comes to clean the floors every day, so it is a very clean place to reside.

I had a great roommate that I was matched with. There were no issues in the common areas or with noise during the semester. Anytime I had a concern with life in general, my RA was very helpful in the advice they gave.

My roommate was great and we had a lot in common so we got along really well. The common area had a great hangout area where my friends in my residence hall bonded and have amazing memories together. Our RA was always helpful in resolving any issues.

Judaculla has been a great place to stay but there have been a few problems or lacking areas. There have been many changes to the ra’s and I currently do not have one. We are unable to use or experienced common areas in the building due to COVID-19. While I haven’t needed maintenance specifically the water pressure isn’t always the greatest and it takes a while for water to heat and it doesn’t get very hot. Overall the dorm is good but there could be some improvements.

The dorms are nice and the halls are quiet, but the location is a decent walk to and from the main campus. The RA staff is nice, the courtyard area is well-kept, and the community facilities (washers/dryers, RA's Office, and vending machines) are easy to find.
