Minton Hall Dorm Reviews at WKU

The location is fantastic and I appreciate the private bathroom. The dorm is very old which is noticeable with some mold but overall it isn't bad. Great first year dorm and has easy access to the rest of campus.

Minton Hall is great for the First year of WKU, It has a great location and is right across from where most of the dining is. However, the bathrooms are dirty and there is a huge mold problem. It just needs some updates and it would be perfect.

This hall is an all girls hall located in the “valley”. I resided here in 2015-2016 and lived on the 3rd floor. The place was very quiet and nicely located near the heart of campus and in the middle near the top of the hill. My only complaint would be the bathrooms were just small and so were the rooms. I didn’t like the fact that it was all girls but I can’t help that. Also I would have loved an area for food.

I really liked staying in Minton Hall. It was in a good location in the middle of campus and I could get to my classes easily. Compared to the other dorms I have seen and visited, I prefer this one the most.

Minton is a great place to make a lot of friends. It is a very tight-knit community. It is community style, and there is a mold problem at times. I personally have loved living in Minton, and have met my best friends here as well.

Minton Hall is an older building. It really needs updated. It has on odor to it like musty/mildew. The commons area is not an enjoyable place to sit and visit with friends. The entire building needs to be renovated. It's in a great location on campus but needs to be overhauled.

My experience at Minton Hall has been average. I live on the sixth floor and my bottom neighbors are extremely loud and repetitively bounce objects on their tile floor, which is very annoying. Further, the cleaning staff needs to clean the bathrooms better, especially in this period of the pandemic. There have been numerous times that the conditions in the showers have been less than satisfactory. At least once a week, the elevators require maintenance, which slows lobby traffic.

The location of Minton Hall is great because it is right across from the main food court and it is located basically in the center of campus. The staff is friendly and as are the fellow residents. I have had a great experience thus far.
